There’s Something About Grece

Three years ago I met Grece.
It was in the middle of Montréal’s trademark heatwaves; we were shooting at a studio with no AC, nothing but my camera and a vintage wooden chair. This was my first time photographing someone of Grece’s age and someone who had such a unique point of view and personal style. I was nervous, intimidated and out of my comfort zone.
Grece came out of the changing room wearing an Old Céline suit and instantly I was back in my element. We bonded over our obsession with Phoebe Philo and her reign at Céline. We gushed over the tailoring, the fabrics, the attention to detail, the understated strength that Pheobe breathed into the brand. It was refreshing to meet someone else who saw fashion and aesthetics the way I did. What began as a casual shoot, grew into an incredible creative connection and friendship.
The following is an editorial of Grece in her favorite Old Céline pieces and the result of both our personalities and visions coming together.
